PRAISE FOR

SANTA FE FLUTE IMMERSION

"I wanted to write you to express my appreciation for the opportunity to attend the Santa Fe Flute Immersion, and a special thank you for the scholarship that I was given. Without the scholarship I would not have been able to attend the program, which would have been a terrible shame because I learned so much throughout the week. Being able to meet and learn from great teachers, and play with great musicians was a very meaningful experience. Once again, thank you for extending this opportunity to me, I appreciate your generosity."
-Emily Ramsey, Student, University of New Mexico

"It was a life changing experience for me to be at the 2015 Santa Fe Flute Immersion last June. During that week, we worked on preparing the premiere of my "Homage to Josquin" culminating in the premiere performance at the closing concert on June 28. Composing sometimes delves into the world of the abstract, but when those notes on the page become alive and in a performance by Linda Marianiello, Susan Levitin and Jacquelyn Helin, we have real magic in the air and on stage. Living in Santa Fe for a week was also a magical experience and I would urge anyone that is interested in enhancing their musicianship, technique and performance practices to attend in the Santa Fe Flute Immersion." --Aaron Alter, composer, Carlsbad, CA

"I know I've already said it, but thank you again for holding a wonderful event through SFFI. I really enjoyed myself and learned so much during the week that I spent in Santa Fe! I will keep you posted as I go through my years at Oberlin!" --Student, Poway, CA and Oberlin College

"I enjoyed being part of the class again. I found the students very open and willing to try everything. I had a really good time with them." --Bart Feller, SFFI faculty member and principal flute, the Santa Fe Opera, New York, NY

"Your program is really fantastic.... The participants were really fortunate to be exposed to a wealth of opportunities! I was really impressed with all the classes that you offered and the caliber of your visiting teachers. Thanks again for all your kindness and for letting me personally participate in the immersion. "--Daniel Sharp, Sales and Service Associate, Verne Q. Powell Flutes, Inc.
